The following are additional information specifically for your stay:

CHECK-IN:  After 4 PM

Early check-in is not available unless previously arranged by us and will prevent the cleaning crew from doing their job.  The cleaning crew will not to enter the house if occupied.  You will risk having an uncleaned house  for the enitire stay & be responsible for any damages left behind by previous guests.  If the cleaners are requested to return, there is a $100 trip charge.

ABSOLUTELY NO PETS or SMOKING IS ALLOWED in the home or decks!   Any sign of pets or smoking will result in forfeiture of the damage deposit.

DOOR LOCK:  The house is equipped with two entrances, one on the canal side and the other streetside adjacent to the parking area. 

The canal-side door has a keyless lock.  Use the CODE that was EMAILED TO YOU. 

• Activate the key pad by pushing the middle button with the lock symbol.
• Enter the code on the keypad and wait a few seconds for lock to complete its cycle before entering.  Any attempt to gain entry while the lock mechanism is spinning will cause the lock to revert to a permanent lock mode.
• If the wrong code was entered, wait 10 seconds before re-attempting.
• To lock upon leaving the house, push the lock button is the center of the keypad (no need to re-enter the code).

 The street-side door has a keyed lock.  The key for this lock is in the lockbox along the stairwell.  To retrieve the key, enter the CODE that was EMAILED TO YOU and open the box.  If you use these keys, it’s very important to return the keys to the lockbox immediately to avoid misplacement or loss (which will result in problems for the next guest and a charge of $300).

DURING YOUR STAY:

We do not provide Linen Service!  See the WELCOME PACK above for local providers. 

• The home  is equipped with free internet access.  Please use your own WiFi-enabled laptop (please see EMAIL for WIFI password) or an ethernet cable where no password is needed. 

• Beach towels/chairs and personal toiletries such as bath soaps, detergents, and bathroom tissues are NOT provided but there are several convenient stores nearby.

• Departure cleaning is included in rental

• Please keep all doors closed to prevent excess stress on the HVAC system.

• The BBQ grill is not functioning, please do not use it.

• The water line for the ice maker was damaged by a recent renter and therefore no ice is available.  Please plan ahead and  buy a bag of ice at the local grocery store.

• The outside shower is for your use so as not to drag any sand into the house and bathtubs.  Please use it after returning from the beach.

• There is no phone service in the home, please bring your own cell phone.
  Trash pick up:

• Garbage pickups are on Saturday, Monday & Thursday (June, July, and August); Monday & Thursday (May and September); and Mondays only (October through April).
• Please roll the trash bins onto the street the night BEFORE service. Service will begin at 4:00 a.m. during May, June, July, August, and September. All garbage must be containerized.
• Please keep garbage cart adjacent to house at all other times.

This is a second home to us.  Every effort is made to assure accurate descriptions with no intended misrepresentation. We will not be held responsible for errors in advertising, or acts of nature.  There will be no reduction of rent for any mechanical failure of air conditioning and or heating units, dishwashers, washers, dryers, TVs, VCRs, etc.

CHECK-OUT:  before 11AM
(strictly observed and a full day's rental cost will be charged for late checkouts).

1. Remove rented linens from all beds, but NOT the mattress covers.

2.  Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn it ON (this will avoid you being charged by the maid for washing dishes).

3. Empty refrigerator of all foods and take trash downstairs to place in bins.

4. Roll trash bins the curb to be picked up.

5. Return any items belonging to the home to their original locations (remotes, keys, etc.)

6. Ensure that all doors and windows are securely locked and have a safe trip home.

Refund of Damage Security Deposit:

• Upon your departure, our team of maintenance personnel will carefully inspect the house.  If there are no damages or loss of property items, excessive cleaning, intentional, willful damage or gross negligence and any non-compliance of rental policies, you may expect a full refund of the security deposit within 30 days of departure.
